Addiction Is A Nightmare

31 October 2017

Addiction is a nightmare. Haunting our every movement and ruining our lives.  You never know when the temptation will appear and if you will be able to keep from giving in.  October is the month of thrills and scares, but for some people, those terrifying moments aren’t just isolated to Halloween activities.

Getting to sobriety can be a long pathway, but you don’t have to make the journey alone. There are many resources for those struggling with dependency. Some of these resources include www.samhsa.gov/. Sober living homes like Talbot House provide you with a supportive and loving environment where you are able to feel safe.

“My recovery must come first so that everything I love in life does not have to come last.” -Unknown. Remember this quote when you are struggling.   It will be scary at first, but you will get through it, and the reward of sobriety is such an amazing thing.  You will be able to enjoy life once more and the people who love you. “Life is very interesting…in the end, some of your greatest pains become your greatest strengths,” Drew Barrymore quotes. Overcome your nightmares by overcoming your addiction.
